Gutulia National Park
Gutulia National Park is the smallest and one of the oldest national parks in Norway. It is home to a very old forest where several of the pine trees are more than 400 years old! Trees over 30 meters are not an uncommon sight, which is not only due to age but also because the soil is relatively nutritious. There are plenty of dead trees. Pine trees that after their death are steadfastly standing, mummified by resin. And crumbling old spruce trees and fallen spruce trunks completely covered in moss.
